Cover for "BSFF (Rated R)" single
With grinding funk and edgy vocals clearly influenced by the late, great Michael Jackson, B'Slade returns to the scene with a controversial new track that takes aim at homophobia.
Ripepd from recent headlines concerning the rash of LGBT suicides, B'Slade sings:
They called us butch, stems, faggots and fems. They called us trade, queens, sissies and freaks. I find it hard to believe, with our technology, we can't start educating young people questioning. They love school, but they hate it. And they can't say a thing. Folks don't what they're facing. Same thing happened to me.
Powerful lyrics for a serious time. Could it be that B'Slade is the musical voice of a SGL generation?
