I think I've figured it out.

Truth-speakers, people who can identify and name oppression wherever it appears, individuals who can envision a world free of bigotry and violence will be considered weak.

Isn't that Jimmy Carter's presidential legacy, that he was "weak"? I suppose that's what we call leaders who refuse to coddle the American public and, instead, tell them the harsh and brutal truth about themselves. We, after all, want public officials with whom we could have a nice, cold frosty, not know-it-alls who have the audacity to remind us that we have work to do.

I came across a news article discussing the possibility of an openly gay president. And Mr. Carter, a devout Southern Baptist and perhaps one of the few Christians in existence who actually understand Christ at all, had this to say:
