Guess who's opening a bar in my neighborhood?
Anthony Mackie.
Mackie, who most recently starred in Night Catches Us, is also a resident of Bedford-Stuyvesant. It seems that we have a nice little celebrity community here in Bed-Stuy. There's Mackie, Ntozanke Shange, Santigold, Gbenga Akinnagbe, and Na'eem Douglas, not to mention all of the other notable individuals who called Bed-Stuy home at one point or another.
Mackie's bar will be called No Bar. It was initial scheduled to open in September but currently, it's still under construction.
