Congratulations to our LGBT residents of of the state of Illinois. As of today, civil unions are the law of the land and what better way to start it than with an African American lesbian couple, Lakeesha Harris and Janean Watkins, being the first in line to receive their license to marry. What a wonderful day this is for the residents of Illinois!
This is another testament how women, and not men, are the true trailblazers in the LGBT movement. If black and latino men, gay or str8, loved themselves and each other more, there should have been more African American and Latino American gay men in line waiting to get married. Oh well. one day ...Right?
